Six Sentence Sunday - Where Nerves End

More Six Sentence Sunday!

I'm working on two books at once, so since I shared a snippet of NSFW last week, I'll share a little of Where Nerves End this week. Jason has finally given in to a friend's recommendation to see an acupuncturist for his chronic pain, and he's just laid eyes on Michael the acupuncturist for the first time:

I couldn’t say if I was expecting dreadlocks and hemp or glasses and a lab coat, but what I wasn’t expecting was six feet of oh my God with a heaping dose of please tell me you’re single. He looked like he’d just stepped out of a laidback business meeting: pressed slacks, a plain white shirt with the first button casually left open and the sleeves rolled to his elbows. His hair was almost black, and short but not severely so. Short enough to be neat and professional, long enough for a man to get a grip on if—

Jesus, Jason. You get a grip.

Want to play along? It’s fun and easy!
1. pick a project – a current WIP, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published
2. pick six sentences
3. post ‘em on your blog or website on Sunday
