Six Sentence Sunday

First things first, in celebration of my 20th book release, I'm holding a contest in which one lucky commenter could win my entire backlist. No, seriously. Check it out.

With that out of the way, Six Sentence Sunday is back for more...

This week, from L. A. Witt, six more sentences from my current work-in-progress, Conduct Unbecoming, a M/M contemporary milrom set on Okinawa:

I exhaled and stared up at the ceiling. For a one night stand, Eric had certainly parked himself in my consciousness. Another day or two and maybe I’d shake him completely so I could get on with my life without thinking about how much I wanted to have him naked and panting in my bed again, but so far, no dice.

My e-mail pinged, drawing me back into the present. When I looked at my inbox, I gritted my teeth at the sight of my ex-wife’s name. Now wasn’t that just a cold bucket of water over my good, if slightly distracted, mood?

Want to play along? It’s fun and easy!
1. pick a project – a current WIP, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published
2. pick six sentences
3. post ‘em on Sunday

  1. I like the rhythm of his internal dialogue, I related straight away and too want to see Eric naked and panting! Thank you for a great six!

  2. Sounds like he's not going to get over that one-night stand as quickly as he would like. A great six!

    Congrats on your 20th release!
