Today, one last nibble from my upcoming release, The Closer You Get, which is the sequel to The Distance Between Us:
I was a little surprised that he’d caught my eye. By all rights, he should have blended into the background. From the way he dressed to the way he moved, he was…subdued. He wasn’t unattractive by any means, but there was nothing flashy about him, and anything that didn’t flash or glitter didn’t stand out here. The Closer You Get is NOW AVAILABLE for Pre-Order from Samhain Publishing, and will be out November 15th!
Walking between guys who danced under the heavy shadows and bright, flickering disco lights, in a crowd of men who’d all dressed specifically to stand out and show off, Alex brought to mind a black cat prowling through a flock of peacocks. His surroundings nearly made him invisible, but he was still undeniably there.
Want to play along? It’s fun and easy!
