Re-Releasing Some Older Titles

For the past few months, I've been working on re-releasing some older titles that went out of print in 2013. I've posted about some of them, and others have just sort of been quietly released because I didn't want to saturate Twitter of my blog with "this one's available now too!" That and I was still working out all the self-publishing bugs. I'm still working out a few, so bear with me a little, but now that the majority of the books have been re-released, here they are:

From L.A. Witt...

The Cover Me Trilogy is available as a boxed set or as individual titles.

Also recently released: (Click on the covers for buy links)

Changing Plans is a collection containing the novellas Getting off the Ground, Infinity Pools, and On The List.

From Lauren Gallagher:

Please note that World Enough and Time was previously published as Until It's Over.

Light Switch & Reconstructing Meredith are available individually or as a boxed set called Wanting Moore.

So this might have made me "SQUEE" a little...

My parents arrived yesterday, and they brought with them a package that had come to their house instead of mind.

Its contents?
Reconstructing Meredith won the 2011 National Readers' Choice Award for Erotic Fiction from the Oklahoma Romance Writers Association!  :D  :D :D

I...am stupidly excited. I wasn't able to attend RWA National in Anaheim, which was where these were given out, and though I'd heard about the award, there's something wicked cool about actually holding a trophy in my hot little hands. So I had to post a picture of it here.

Incidentally, my husband said it looked like a headstone. I told him to keep it up, and it'll be his headstone...

NOW AVAILABLE: For The Living

For The Living is now available from Amber Allure. Additional links will be added here as they are available. And if you'd like a little nibble of the story, For The Living is my Six Sentence Sunday story this week.

For the last year, Jay Warren has struggled to find the nerve to tell his wife he’s gay. He’s ashamed of hiding it all this time and he doesn’t want to hurt her, so every time he gets the chance to tell her, he freezes up. The guilt has been almost unbearable, but when his wife dies suddenly, Jay’s conscience threatens to eat him alive.

Funeral director Scott Lawson deals with the bereaved every day of his life, and he’s also all too familiar with the inside of the closet. He offers Jay some much-needed compassion and understanding, and from that connection comes a friendship that quickly—perhaps too quickly—turns into something more.

But are grief, guilt, and loneliness the only things tying them together? Or will Scott get tired of being used as an emotional crutch before Jay realizes what he has?

Also, I'm excited to announce that Reconstructing Meredith is a finalist for the National Leather Association's Pauline Reage Novel Award! The award will be announced in early May - fingers crossed, but I'm thrilled just to be a finalist!

Six Sentence Sunday

Six Sentence Sunday is back for more...

This week, from Lauren Gallagher, six sentences from Meredith Reclaimed, the in-progress sequel to Reconstructing Meredith. This book, like its prequel, is quite dark, but it has its lighter moments:

When the screen lit up, I had three texts, a missed call, and a voice message.

The texts were all, as I expected them to be, from Scott. First, a reply to the last message I’d sent when we’d been texting back and forth during lunch: I love you, too. See you tonight. A few minutes later, he’d added, I’ll pick up something for dinner on my way home. And about fifteen minutes ago, right about the time he was probably getting home: I can’t be held responsible if the cats are dead when you get here.

Want to play along? It’s fun and easy!
1. pick a project – a current WIP, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published
2. pick six sentences
3. post ‘em on Sunday

REVIEW: Reconstructing Meredith

Pomma J. at The Romance Studio gave Reconstructing Meredith 5 out of 5 hearts, and had this to say:
"I definitely encourage those that love the BDSM genre to read both books as they are unique in the imagery and characters journey through not only the good things in the BDSM world, but those that have seen dark side, and the authors ability to carry the reader to a satisfying ending."

WIP Wednesday

It's time for another installment of WIP Wednesday, wherein I share a little snippet of a work-in-progress from one or both pseudonyms.

At the moment, I'm working on Meredith Reclaimed, which is the sequel to Reconstructing Meredith:

“A high back?” Claudia snorted. “Why would you need a high-backed dress? You have a beautiful figure—”

“You bitch,” Sharon interjected with a laugh.

“Yeah, no kidding,” Claudia said. “If I had a body like yours, I’d be showing off as much as I could, especially at my wedding.”

My cheeks burned. “Thanks,” I said softly. “I guess I just kind of like some of the old-fashioned styles.”

“Prude,” Claudia said, elbowing me gently.

I just laughed, and the three of us kept walking. The truth was, I adored the plunging backs and spaghetti strap style dresses that were in fashion these days. And Scott had always had a thing for anything that showed off shoulders and collarbones.

Only a handful of people in my life knew the real reason I wanted my back covered when I walked down the aisle. Close as I was to them, I’d never told Claudia or Sharon about the scars that slashed ugly, irregular lines across my back from my shoulders down. Even if I wore my hair down, which would hide my skin well past my shoulder blades, I’d spend the whole time wondering if someone could see them. Or being afraid I’d turn my head and pull my hair out of the way so everyone could see. I’d already had a few of the worst scars removed, or at least minimized, and had two more minor surgeries between now and the wedding, but there was no hiding the fact that something had happened to my back. Something I didn’t care to relive or rehash at my wedding. Or ever again, if I could help it. Those days were behind me where they belonged.

Stay tuned for more snippets next Wednesday!

REVIEW: Reconstructing Meredith

A couple of lovely reviews for Reconstructing Meredith!

First, The Pagan & The Pen gave it the "Reviewer Top Pick" rating, which was also given to Light Switch.
From the review:
"I’m not sure which two books I’m going to have to kick out of my top ten list in order to fit these [Light Switch & Reconstructing Meredith] in, but they’re up near the top."
The entire review is here.

And over at I Like Romantic Stuff, the reviewer had this to say:
"Two great main characters of Scott and Meredith with good side characters of Krissy and Matt. The story was brilliantly told from both sides and allowed us to really immerse ourselves in Scott and Meredith’s lives."
Definitely a great review day!

Cover Art: Static

More cover art today, this one for the book that is rivaling Reconstructing Meredith as being my pride and joy.

Behold...Static:
Blurb:

Damon Bryce is worried sick when he doesn’t hear from his girlfriend after she visits her estranged parents, but when he checks up on her, he’s in for the shock of his life: She’s a shifter, part of a small percentage of the population who can shift genders at will. Thanks to her parents, though, she’s been forcibly given an implant that leaves her static—unable to shift—and male.

Alex Nichols desperately wants the implant removed, but getting it out isn’t nearly as easy as putting it in. The surgery is expensive and dangerous. Left in, the implant carries its own set of risks, with the potential to cripple or even kill him. On top of that, he’s carefully kept his identity a secret from more people in his life than just Damon, and his parents aren’t the only ones appalled by shifters.

Stripped of half his identity and facing serious physical effects and social ramifications, Alex needs Damon more than ever, but he doesn’t see how their relationship can get through this unscathed.

Especially if Alex is a static male permanently.

***

This will be my first foray into the realms of urban fantasy. It's not nearly as dirty as my usual stuff, either. Keep an eye on my blogs for more info!

Want updates sent straight to your inbox?

I'm now on Yahoo! Groups:

There will be some contests and giveaways soon, so join now!

Also, we're about three weeks away from the release of Reconstructing Meredith, so in the very near future, you can expect some cover art, excerpts, and...why yes...information on how you can win a copy.

Finally, there will be some blog entries with some actual meat in them pretty soon. I've been up to my ears lately, working on edits and finishing a couple of projects, so both of my blogs have been somewhat neglected. That will be remedied as soon as I'm finished with my current work-in-progress, The Closer You Get.

Stay tuned!
