Six Sentence Sunday - Where There's Smoke

It's already Sunday again, which means it's time for more Six Sentence Sunday ...

This week marks my last Sunday six posted from Japan, as next week I will be leaving The Land of the Rising Sun for the Land of the Falling Rain, where I will spend two months before continuing to Nebraska.

So, one last nibble of my current work-in-progress, Where There's Smoke, before I jet off to Seattle:

“You are aware you’re a predator, right?” Ranya gestured at her eyes. “Forward-facing eyes? Teeth meant for cutting?”

“You’re talking to a man who buys cigarettes on his way to a health food store,” I said. “I assure you, what nature intended and what Anthony does are not always in synch.”

Want to play along? It’s fun and easy!
1. pick a project – a current WIP, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published
2. pick six sentences
3. post ‘em on Sunday

  3. Details like Rayna gesturing to her eyes is what makes your writing so engrossing and realistic. Great six. :)
