NOW AVAILABLE IN PRINT: Trust Me

On the scene of a multiple murder that’s grisly even for a veteran homicide detective, Brian Clifton is stunned when one of the victims bears an uncanny resemblance to his boyfriend, James. As the similarities keep piling up, so do the bodies…and the evidence pointing to James as the killer.
Since long before the shooting, James has been dishonest. He’s been evasive. Oh, and there’s that minor little detail he withheld from Brian about being a gambling-addicted drug dealer. He may not be the best boyfriend in the world, but he begs Brian to believe he’s no murderer. In fact, whoever did pull the trigger undoubtedly wants to finish what they started, and Brian is the only one James trusts to keep him safe.
But how much is Brian willing to risk to protect a man he may not even know?

REVIEWS: Ex Equals, Trust Me
Lasha gave Ex Equals 4.25 out of 5 stars:
"Excellent story that rings true as two former lovers try and make their way back to each other." (Review)

"A solid murder mystery and a skillfully done deliberate confusion around honest criminals, dirty cops, undercovers, drug dealers and the question who rather to follow: your heart or your mind?" (Review)

REVIEWS: Cover Me and Trust Me

Cover Me: "Overall I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it. L.A. Witt has become one of my go to authors."And Cassie at Joyfully Reviewed (different site from Joyfully Jay) reviewed Trust Me:
Trust Me: "I really enjoyed the suspense and investigation in this story. It was a really different set up than your typical investigative thriller and I was definitely caught up in following the trail as Brian tries to solve the case. Lots of good surprises and twist and turns."
I recommend Trust Me to anyone who likes dark, gritty stories. If you’re looking for a read that catches your attention, pulls no punches, and yet still manages to have a satisfying romance, Trust Me is just what you need.

Six Sentence Sunday
This week, from L. A. Witt, six sentences from my recently released erotic suspense novel, Trust Me, which is the sequel to Cover Me:
Want to play along? It’s fun and easy!
The club was swankier than most places in this area. It was a known hangout for dealers, pimps, and anyone else who could afford a velvet-rope night in this chain link and razor wire neighborhood. Above the tables, top shelf liquor flowed. Below it, stacks of bills and bags of white powder changed hands. With the right combination of cash and a wink, a waitress could be compelled to meet a customer in the restroom or the alley behind the club. The place was all dressed up and pretty, but that illusion was only skin deep.
1. pick a project – a current WIP, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published
2. pick six sentences
3. post ‘em on Sunday
